YULETIDE: Kendoo to give 5,000 residents food packages

As the count down to the festive periods begin to draw closer, the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede (Kendoo) has promised to give 5,000 residents food packages to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

The council chairman who broke this news on his Facebook page on Sunday said the gesture is meant to put smiles on the residents’ faces at the festive period and all times.

Oloyede said each person will go home with a 5kg bag of rice, chicken and cooking oil among other packages.

He said: “A pleasant morning to citizens of Oshodi-Isolo local government, as part of our festive period empowerment, the council will be giving out food items for Christmas and new year.

“5,000 residents will be given 5kg of rice, one chicken and cooking oil each. We look forward to supporting our widows, youths and less privileged.”
