The youths in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have commended the Council Chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello Obe for donating N400,000 towards the establishment of a viewing centre.
According to a youth leader, Babajide Ogunmefun, the money is for the youths to establish a viewing center through which they can generate revenue to support fellow youths.
Prior to the 2019 general election, Obe had promised that he would provide a space in Ejigbo to the youths to be used as a business center where they could run small scale businesses.
To fulfil his promise, he made a sum of N400,000 available to them on Thursday July 4, 2019 to secure the needed equipment for the take-off of the viewing center business.
Commending the chairman on the initiative and the cash, Ogunmefun said Obe has been supporting the youths, working towards empowering and developing them.
“Others should emulate people like Monsuru Obe, yesterday he just gave us the sum of N400,000 to fulfil his promise to provide us with Television sets and other equipment to establish a viewing center for us to be able to get little funds for some of our youths. That may not be enough but that is a giant stride. We can see that he has good intention for the youths and we will not let him down by the grace of God. No matter how small, some of the unemployed youths who would be manning the business would have something to pocket at the end of the month. It is a show of love and we appreciate it” he stated.
