We now maintain cleaner, safer environment, says council leader

The Council Leader of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Lanre Akinbowale, said the council has been maintaining cleaner and safer environment by forcing residents to abide by law.

 

According to him, with the bye-laws on environmental sanitation and provision of night security in all CDAs passed by the legislative arm, Ejigbo has become one of the cleanest and safest communities to live in Lagos state as the council enforces the laws on the residents.

Apart from the two bye-laws, Akinbowale disclosed that the councilors have facilitated many developmental projects carried out by the local government across the council area.

 

For instance, he said the councilors have passed about 20 resolutions to the executive chairman to work on which have materialized in the projects in the community.

He explained that the 20 resolutions passed were decisions bothering on the sectors such as roads and culverts, provision of armed security men in the council secretariat, education and health taken by the legislative arm to the executive arm in the interest of Ejigbo residents.

 

He explained: “The resolutions were made in line with the goal of the local council chairman and the yearning of the people to maintain peace in the community.
