Wazbak Queens Set To Defend Crown In 2026 Wafa League Final

Wazbak Queens and Great Star Amazons have booked their place in the final of the 2026 Wafa League at Methodist Grammar School, Igboora, Oyo State.

Wazbak Queens booked their place in the final of the Wafa League after triumphing 2-0 against Heroes Queens.

While, Great Star Amazons edged Lakeside Queens 6-5 via penalty shootout after playing a 1-1 stalemate at the end of regulation time.

Wazbak Queens who defeated Ijamido Queens in the final of the 2025 edition have reached the final of the 2026 edition in consecutive fashion.

Wazbak Queens will trade tackles with Great Star Amazons as they hope to defend the title they won in 2025 at Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.

Great Star Amazons have their first shot at the Wafa League title for reaching the final for the first time in their history.

Chairman of the Wafa League, Mr Adeboye Shoneye commended the two teams for earning their place in the final through hard work and wish them all the best in their title deciding crunchy tie.

Wazbak Queens will square up against Great Star Amazons in the final of the Wafa League on Sunday, September 13 at Methodist Grammar School, Igboora, Oyo State.
