WAFCON 2026: CAF Appoints Nigeria FIFA Badge Referee To Oversee Senegal vs Kenya Clash

Nigeria FIFA badge referee, Yemisi Akintoye has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) as the center referee for the Senegal vs Kenya match.

The Senegal vs Kenya game will take place at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat on Thursday, July 30 by 6pm Nigeria time.

Akintoye was initially appointed by CAF as the fourth official for the Teranga Lioness 2-0 loss to Algeria on Sunday, July 26 at the Stade d’Honneur d’Oujda (Oujda Municipal Stadium) in Oujda, Morocco.

The Nigerian will be assisted by Yekini Shitou from Benin Republic (Assistant Referee 1), Chad’s Ngarassoum Victorine will officiate as the Assistant Referee 2, Anstino Twanyanyukwa will serve as the fourth official from Namibia.

While Fanta Idrissa Lone from Mali will be the Reserve Assistant Referee, Letticia Antonella from Eswatini will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), and Lumbizai Musawa will be the Assistant VAR.

Senegal will hope to rectify their first game errors as they take on the wounded Kenyans who also lost 4-0 to hosts, Morocco in the first game.
