NWFL Exclusive Transfer: Seyi Olaoye Turns Down Rivers Angels Commits Future To Nasarawa Amazons

Nasarawa Amazons assistant coach, Seyi Olaoye has declined the opportunity to coach Rivers Angels and rather commits his future to the Lafia based side.

Following the expiration of the contract of Tosan Blankson at Rivers Angels, the Port Harcourt based side reached out to Seyi to take over the coaching reigns at the club.

According to a trusted reliable source who confident in our correspondent, said Seyi is the right candidate that the Jewel of Rivers needed citing his long term experience under studying Danjuma.

Despite much improved financial gains tabled to Seyi by Rivers Angels, the lanky tactician surprisingly turned it down.

In spite of huge pressure from Rivers Angels management, Seyi turned the offer from the club down while reiterating his loyalty to coach Christopher Danjuma.

Seyi is a highly respected Nigerian women’s football gaffer who serves as the Assistant Coach of the ⁠Nasarawa Amazons FC. Known for his technical acumen, he has spent quite a number of years within the upper echelons of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), establishing himself as a vital pillar in the tactical development of top-tier women’s athletes.

Seyi’s primary tactical identity centers strictly around a modern, fluid approach to the game. He mandates that his players keep the ball on the ground and dynamically use the outer spaces to break down opponents.

He has openly voiced out his displeasure if his team made defensive errors or if they fail to replicate what was practiced on the training ground.

During transitional team phases and national team absences of head coach Christopher Danjuma, Olaoye stepped up as the standing-in coach to pilot the technical bench during crucial pre-season and league tournaments.

Seyi was part of the coaching crew that led Nasarawa Amazons to the NFF Federation Cup title after defeating Heartland Queens in the final 5-4 via penalty shootout.
