Three Years After Mohbad’s Death, Bella Shmurda Pays Emotional Tribute

Afrobeats singer Bella Shmurda has remembered his late friend and collaborator, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, three years after his death.
Bella took to X on Saturday, September 12, to honour the late singer with a brief but emotional message.
“Woe to evil doers. Keep resting Imole!” he wrote.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. His death sparked widespread public concern, protests and demands for answers over the circumstances surrounding his passing.
Three years on, the late singer remains a major subject of discussion within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues continuing to remember his music and legacy.
Bella and Mohbad shared a close relationship and collaborated on several musical projects during their careers.
Following Mohbad’s death, Bella channelled his grief into music, releasing “My Brother” as a tribute to the late singer. He also dedicated his R2 Sept 12 project to Mohbad, further keeping his memory alive through his music.
Mohbad’s death has continued to generate public interest, with questions surrounding the circumstances of his passing remaining a sensitive issue.
