Standard Female Champions: Five Teams Fight For Honors

Five clubs are set to fight for honor in the Inaugural edition of the Standard Female Championship scheduled to hold on Sunday, April 14 at Ikorodu.

E’clat Queens, Adosag Ladies, Dynamic Queens, Ablaze Amazons and Simario Queens are the teams penciled down to participate in the maiden edition of the tournament.

The tournament is used to celebrate the posthumous birthday of the late Alhaja R.O Ekun.

The five teams will play in a round robin format where the team with the highest number of points will emerge winners.

The competition is organized by Nigeria elite referee, Shade Ekun as one of her pet projects in giving back to the society and to also encourage young girls who play football in the grassroots and aspire to get to the top. The tournament is sponsored by the Ivory Health Club and 3one6 Enterprise.
