*Lagos HOS Pays courtesy visit to the MD and Management of Lagos Water Corporation*

The Lagos State Head of Service Mr. Olabode Agoro payed a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and the entire Management Staff of the Lagos Water Corporation on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at the Water House, Ijora Lagos.

Speaking during the Courtesy Visit, the Head of Service, Mr Olabode Agoro admonished the Management Staff of Lagos Water Corporation to corporate with the government on the ongoing restructuring process of the Corporation, this is to enable the government to move the sector forward to where its really belong where there will be water running in every home of the Citizen he said ” I could recollect when I was young that we were drinking Lagos Water Corporation water directly from the tap and almost all houses in the State were enjoying good quality water supply from the Corporation”

Agoro further stated that the Staff ought to have Spoken out when they realised things were not going in the right direction, but rather kept mute until it became worst due to negligence.

He further said that at this juncture, the Government have no choice but to do the needful and ensure things get normal has it supposed to be.

He therefore appeal to all staff of the Corporation, to see the exercise as a means of making sacrifice for the State.

Also, the Managing Director Lagos Water Corporation, Engr Mukhtaar Tijani reiterated that the restructuring process has been completed and he will inform the entire Staff on its outcome which is likely to affect some numbers of staff but that they should be rest assured that the Government will make adequate provision for their entitlements

Engr Mukhtaar therfore urge the staff to ensure a peaceful Corporation with the government he said “I have defended you in several meetings with top Government Officials and I was made to understand that the change is inevitable which was the first task I was given on assumption of duty as the Managing Director of this Corporation”.

The Executive Director Operations, Engr Mrs Omolanke Taiwo also spoke in direction of other speakers that the restructuring process should not be seen as a witch hunting exercise but for the betterment of the State and her Residents.

She therefore urge every member of staff of the Corporation to accept it with good faith .

Others present at the event were the Permanent Secretary Public Service Office Mrs Sunkanmi Oyegbola; the Permanent Secretary Establishment and Training Mrs Olubusola Abidakun; the Permanent Secretary Office of Environmental Services Dr. Omobolaji Gaji; the Permanent Secretary Office of Drainage Services Engr Olakunle Adegbite; the Director Industrial Relations Mrs Kushemo Anme and the Director Establishment Mrs Bukola Olagunju.
