Community, religious leaders, youth wing, artisans and other groups within the Oshodi-Isolo local government area have commended the chairman of the council, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede on his giant strides on infrastructural development projects.
Speaking at a stakeholders meeting with the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Friday at the conference room of Oshodi-Isolo local government, the community development committee (CDC) chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Ajibulu commended the council chairman for all he has been doing for the good of the people.
He mentioned in specific terms the massive roads construction and water projects across the wards of the council embarked upon by the chairman.
The community leader also thanked him for his support for the members of the CDC at large.
Also speaking Chief Imam of Ajumoni Central Mosque, Mafoluku, Sheikh Melemuku lauded the council chairman saying his effort in ensuring security in the council is appreciated.
Sheikh Melemuku said the construction of roads and other infrastructural development projects embarked upon by the Otunba Oloyede’s adminstration is commendable.
He said the Otunba Oloyede’s adminstration has human face in its entirety.
Speaking on behalf of the youths in Oshodi, the coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oshodi-Isolo local branch, comrade Monsur Ewetade described the chairman as a youth oriented leader.
The youth body however appealed to the government for the return of boys scout, Wai brigade and other paramilitary volunteer associations in schools across the state.
He said these groups help in shaping the youths in various ways such as psychomotor development and moral rectitude.
The GAC team led by former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Chief Femi Pedro appreciated the stakeholders for their stern comments.
Pedro specifically said he will relate the request of returning the scouts to schools with the governor and possible action will be carried out on it soonest.
Artisans chairman Mr. Shamsudeen Baderin also lauded the tremendous works of the council chairman.
The artisans said the availability of good roads have aided their various businesses in many ways as they now enjoy more patronage.
He however appealed for more intervention for the artisans body in terms grants to ease their businesses.
Others at the GAC stakeholders meeting included the All Progressives Congress (APC), chairman, Hon Saheed Animashaun; APC state executive member representing physically challenged; Mr Isreal Akinode (Osa); APC apex leader in Oshodi, Prince Samuel Aina; leader of Mandate Group Alhaji Kehinde Olorunoje; Chief Akeju; Hon Chief Sunday Akinwale; Elder Salako; executive members of the CDC; the first vice chairman, Mr Ade Macarthy, CDC assistant secretary Mr Salawu among others.
