Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club Holds Free Medical Outreach in Imota
The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club has reaffirmed its commitment to community service by organising a free medical outreach for residents of Imota, providing essential health screenings and medical advice aimed at promoting preventive healthcare.
The outreach, held on Saturday at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare-Agoro, the Ranodu of Imota, attracted a large turnout of residents who took advantage of the opportunity to undergo free medical examinations.
During the exercise, medical personnel and volunteers carried out various health screenings and offered participants basic medical assessments and counselling on healthy living to encourage the early detection and prevention of health conditions.
The outreach was led by the President of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, Lion Nuga Femi, alongside other members of the club’s leadership, including Lion Aminat Sanusi, Lion Adedokun Seyi, the Second Vice President; Lion Agunbiade Victor, Membership Chairperson; Lion Akinlolu “Oxygen,” Leo Advisor; and Lion Aluko Kayode, the Service Chairperson.

Speaking during the exercise, Lion Nuga Femi said the initiative formed part of the club’s humanitarian service to communities, with a focus on improving access to basic healthcare and enhancing the wellbeing of residents through impactful interventions.
He noted that the Lions Club remains committed to reaching underserved communities with programmes that promote healthier living and improve the quality of life of residents.
Beneficiaries of the outreach commended the club for bringing free healthcare services closer to the grassroots, describing the initiative as timely and impactful. They also called on other organisations and individuals to emulate the gesture by supporting similar community-based health interventions.
The Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club reiterated its commitment to sustaining programmes that address critical health and social needs across Ikorodu and neighbouring communities through humanitarian service and strategic community engagement.
