The ongoing dispute between residents of Oshodi-Isolo local government and lawma officials has led to the Executive chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, urging for peace.
He assured residents that he is actively working to address the issue by engaging stakeholders and finding a permanent solution.
Oloyede mentioned that influential individuals have stepped in to help, and he plans to organize a meeting to reach a mutually agreeable outcome.
He said “Following the lingering imbroglio between our residents and lawma waste collectors in our local government, I urge our people to remain calm. They have been resolute and civil in their demand and I commend their civility and maturity.
In the coming days, we shall call for a meeting where an amicable resolution will be reached. For the sake of our people, we have contacted notable people hoping to peacefully resolve the issue. I commend our people and implore them to stay on the path of law.”
