Police warn residents against buying secondhand phones

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Aswani Divisional Police Station, Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), CSP Oyin Francess SOA has advised residents against buying secondhand phones which she said, could land them into police net.

She gave the advice in a brief conversation with our correspondent, reiterating that secondhand phones often land people in trouble because the phones might have been stolen.

According to her, though there are genuine secondhand phones, it is best to avoid them since the buyers can’t be sure of their sources.

“I advise people to stay away from such deals to avoid being incriminated,” she said.
