Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reportedly been released in the United Kingdom after the woman who allegedly took him to court withdrew her case, social media influencer Peller has claimed.
Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to a question about Poco Lee’s reported detention in the UK.
“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.
He further claimed that the woman’s decision to withdraw the case resulted in Poco Lee’s release.
“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he added.
Poco Lee had previously been reported to be on remand in a UK prison, with a plea hearing reportedly scheduled for September, following allegations of sexual offences against him.
However, Peller’s claim that the complainant withdrew the case and that this led to Poco Lee’s release has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.
