The remains of the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Pa Michael Adegoke will be committed to the earth on Friday, November 26, this year.

The event will hold at Okemesi-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

Peter Adegloke, his son, told ECHONEWS that the funeral ceremonies will begin on Tuesday, November 23, this year with a wake-keep.

On Wednesday, the body will be moved to Okemesi- Ekiti to be prepared for a second wake-keep on Thursday, November 25, this year.

On Friday, November 26, this year, there will be a funeral service followed by internment.

An elaborate reception will be held on Saturday, December 2, this year in Lagos.

The family continues to finalise funeral arrangements as more dignitaries and sympathisers throng the home of the Adegokes to pay their respects.

They include the former Lagos State chairman of APC, Chief Oladele Ajomale, the member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Idimogu and the chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello Obe.

A 13-year old Ayobami Vincent has described late Michael Adegoke as an elder that has lived a fulfilled life being a vicegerent of God on earth.

According to him, he has been a major source of humanitarian service.

Recalling an incident that transpired between Adegoke and himself, Vincent disclosed that late Adegoke lived his life as the voice of the voiceless to all.

Politically, while speaking, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party chairman, Alhaji Fatai Kasumu, said he leveraged on Adegoke’s legacy of peaceful coexistence and advocacy of politics without bitterness has been the utmost character he had overtime instilled in himself.

As the first councillor under Mushin LGA in the late 80s which is approximately 13 wards with 2 chairmen presently, Kasumu stated that he ensured the party won all elections during his regime and ruled his governance in accordance to the will of the people.

“Adegoke number one” as his grassroots political mates call him, has been said to be a leader that has never been greedy with political benefits and has also avoided favouritism.”

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) party members continue to be proud of their political legend, friends and beloveds have expressed their condolences towards the family and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal bliss.
