Odi-olowo Chairman’s Cup: Ajala Assures Participants Of Equal Treatment

Chairman of Odi-olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Rasaq Ajala has promised all the participating clubs at the annual Odi-olowo Chairman’s Cup (OCC) of equal treatment.

The OCC is in its fourth edition have seen Ghetto Tigers, Unification Ladies emerged champions in previous editions.

Ajala said the OCC is dear to his heart because it has contributed in keeping the youths busy and giving a glamorous look to the community.

The council boss stated that, top class referees will be used for the tournament and no biased officiating will be welcomed.

He outlined the impact of the competition to the youths and community as previous players have gone professional outside the shores of Nigeria.

“We won’t use quack referees, we will use standard and qualified referees. We don’t have interest in any of the team. We expect the officiating officials to be fair and just in their assessment of matches.

“The issue of referees having preferences for any team would not be welcomed.

“The competition is highly impactful. Which have attracted so many teams from different parts of Lagos.

“Most of the players that played at the previous edition have moved to Europe and that shows the impact the competition have on the youths and community at large.”

Ajala revealed the plans of his administration to build two World class stadiums before the end of his tenure.

“By the grace of God, we are going to deliver two stadiums before the end of my tenure.”

The vice chairman of Odi-olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Seyi Jakande said the essence of the competition is to foster unity among the residents and also promote the positivity of the community to the World.
