The Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) has distributed free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to 200 indigent students in the local council area.

The vice chairman, Hon. Ayodele Ayodeji (SMA), who distributed the forms on behalf of the chairman, said the gesture was part of the effort towards educational development in the community.

He urged the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity judiciously, advising them to prepare harder for the examination coming up in November.

Also speaking, the Council Manager (CM), Princess Iyabode Ogunyemi, implored the students to be serious with their studies,l and work harder to pass their examination.

She declared that the council would not organise free tutorial classes this year due to the low turnout of students in the previous years, noting that the government had to bear the expenses without adequate productivity.

She stated that the programme which is an education-support initiative is not a one-off event as over 150 GCE forms were distributed freely in 2018 and 2019.

She disclosed that the council also monitors the students while registering online to avoid mistakes.
