“My expectations are very high. Hoping to see a very competitive league, a display of great skills, talents etc.

Still expecting the innovations, the creativity, the drive, the enthusiasm and the tonic for passion. When you have something to look forward to achieving, the level of seriousness is high.

“First, is looking forward to the Super 6, a competition that the Aisha Falode – led NWFL Board turned to what I personally call ‘The Nigeria Women Football Champions league’. I wonder what goes through the minds of players and coaches who miss the Super 6. Up till now I have not fully recovered from the last edition.

“So as the season starts, the target is to qualify for the Super 6 after which you will be thinking of the CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL).

“The target of every club is winning the Super 6 so as to represent Nigeria at the CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL) and if you see the rate of transfers this season, its of very high quality of good players.

“My worry at a time was the Exodus of our players to Europe but If you look at the last season Nationwide and Championship league, which was of a high standard. Lots of Premiership clubs have signed players from them and it shows that we are improving.

“Finally, this year there was U17 and U20 world cup and I tell you serious experience has been gathered by these players and it will show in the league.
