The much anticipated NWFL Premiership 2022/2023 officially kicked off across all match venues across the country as all the home teams recorded a win each to kick-start their league campaign on a good note.

In Osun state, Osun Babes defeated the spirited Royal Queens of Warri 2-0 to set-up a good start in the NWFL Premiership 2022/2023 league campaign in a very difficult group.

Abia Angels skip past FC Robo Queens with a lone goal as the goal was scored in the first half which was enough to give the Aba girls the 3 maximum points in the game.

In what was the match of the week in NWFL Premiership group B is the titanic clash between Nasarawa Amazons and Edo Queens, a lone goal separated both sides in an epic and fascinating encounter as Nasarawa Amazons drew the first blood of the league campaign.

Group A tie of the week is the game between Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels. It was a gigantic affair between both sides and it took the defending champions, Bayelsa Queens to score two quick goals in the second half to earn a valuable 3 points in the game.
