NDLEA to extend operational base to Epe community

Epe LG chairman Princess Surah O. Animashaun received delegation of NDLEA marine command officials led by Commander of Narcotics, Ahom Paul T.

Epe Chairman was conferred and decorated as an Ambassador of the NDLEA by the Commander, After a brief familiarization tour of the area, the conversations revolved around extending their operational base to Epe community in order to combat drug smuggling, peddling, and consumption within Epe and its immediate environs including Ikorodu and Badagry.

Epe Chairman expressed her elation over the Agency’s decision to help combat the menace of drug trafficking and abuse ravaging the community with a promise to offer her extensive support to ensure the success of their operations.

She suggested enlisting the assistance of the indigenous security in the community as guides for their marine operations.

The paramount ruler of Epe land, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun also expressed his pleasure at the initiative and in-turn offered to support the team to the best of his abilities to ensure a sane, safe drug and crime-free community.
