Man Remanded For Raping Teenager

The Ikeja Magistrates’ Court has docked a sexual offender in a correctional facility for raping and defiling a 17-year-old girl.

The accused, 30-year-old Mojeed Oseni, is being charged with unlawful penetration and defilement.

Appearing as prosecutor, SP Kehinde Ajayi told the court that the defendant committed the offence at about 4:00pm on April 3, at Gbada Salami Street, Orisunbare Road, Shasha.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, Ejiro Kubeinje, who did not take Oseni’s plea, ordered his remand in a correctional centre.

She adjourned the matter until May 22, for DPP advice.
