LGSC charges LG staff on punctuality

Poised for improvement, the chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina received delegates from the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission on the 22nd of June 2022.

The council arrangement which was presided over by Hon. Adesina and chairman of the service commission, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu gathered together all heads of departments in the council at the secretariat hall for an interactive admonishment session.

Communicating to a jam-packed council staff filled hall, Hon. Bayewu affirmed that prior to the staff engagement gathering, he had an extensive talk with the council boss to verify challenges encountered by the administration, scheming on civil footings to pursue solutions.

Bayewu proceeded: “How you dress is how you would be addressed, that’s why I’m also going to admonish all council staff in Ikorodu LG on their mode of dressing to the council and punctuality to work, based on other conversations with the chairman.

“One of the key signatures of council staff is their manner of condiment and also the period they appear at function. I want to urge everyone to rectify these areas which would enhance the council’s responsiveness to managerial principles.”

Furthermore, on the concern of delayed postings of staff from one local government to the other, Bayewu noted that the matter would be sought out.

The council boss thanked the local government service commission for taking out time to peruse the council, quoting the engagement as affectionate to his administrative faculties.

He said Ikorodu local government which is presently growing in infrastructure is set to surge and demonstrate more economic gaits.

“Back in the days, I served under some of the delegates from the service commission who are here to visit us and am very excited that they’ve come to support us with their wealth of experience over the years, which can only enhance our current operational procedure.

“Looking at the past 40 years of this council, where we are today is a testament to our positive expansion and we are certain to continue in this trajectory as a council, putting the interest of the good people of Ikorodu Local Government at the top.”
