Through the skill acquisition programme, the beneficiaries would be trained for a month on web designing, tailoring, Adire fabric making, soap making, auto diagnosis and screen printing and the best three trainees would be given grants to start their businesses.

Speaking, Akinbowale said he was giving back to the ward and his people for giving him the opportunity and support by electing him to represent them at the local council.

He said he empowered the youths with the skill acquisition programme and the small scale business owners who have no wherewithal with the necessary equipment to aid their work and provide sources of living for them and also foods for the elderly ones who could not work again due to old age.

He disclosed that he purposely chose the vocations for the skill acquisition programme having studied trends in particular vocations that are lucrative in the society.
