The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Tunji-Bello has expressed her readiness to continue with the working agreement between the institution and the Lagos State Cooperative College, especially in academic development.

Professor Bello stated while welcoming members of the Lagos State Cooperative College Governing Council who paid a working visit to the Lagos State University, Ojo, recently, reiterating that her administration would not depart from the previous working agreement the College had with LASU.

She said, “Government is a continuum. The already working agreement the College signed with the University while her predecessor was in office still subsists. The College should only do more by informing me of other areas we can collaborate”.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Lagos State Cooperative College Governing Council, Mr. Oyebowale Raji had solicited continued healthy working relationships with the new administration in LASU.

He said the two institutions had developed a harmonious relationship since having the working agreement. The association, according to him, had been beneficial to both parties.

His words, “We must admit to achieving some important goals during the last two years. One of which was that we could conclude establishing our own financial regulations fashioned after LASU’s version. We are, however, here today to show our commitment to continuing the relationship we started two years ago”.

The Provost of the College, Mr. Akorede Ojomu, spoke in the same vein and called for more synergy to ensure that the National Diploma Graduates of the College continue their academic progression at Lagos State University (LASU).
