Lagos DSVA, LASSA Partner To Eradicate Sexual Violence

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence, DSVA, has held a forum with officers of the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency, LASAA, to collaborate and put up efforts in the fights against sexual crimes.

The Executive Director, DSVA, Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, informed that the dialogue between the two agencies was held in preparation for the upcoming Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month.

Vivour-Adeniyi mentioned that the partnership is crucial in ensuring that there is an increase in awareness of the Lagos State prohibition of sexual violence and it’s negative impact on the society.

The Director stated that the two bodies have aimed at leveraging on outdoor advertisements in the suburbs of the state to inform of the necessary punishments on erring individual.

The Managing Director of LASAA, Failu Akilolu, have kudos to the DSVA over its commitment in projecting various initiatives to combat the unwanted situation.

In his welcome address, Akiloku said that the DSVA has sensitized the various interventions by the state government to protect the residents from being a victim of the dastadly act.

LASSA promised to offer outright collaboration with the DSVA and pledged on commitment and support towards the cause.

Akilolu stressed there is need to sustain the level of advocacy by the agency and also assured that he would endeavour to engage other stakeholders to join in elevating the advocacy drive.
