The Chief Judge, CJ, of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, has urged for a continuous synergy of the judiciary and the NBA to ensure an improved rule of law in the state.
Justice Alogba also hinted on promoting the cultural values by the residents in the state and Nigeria at large.
The CJ gave the imploration during a cocktail party held as part of the activities for the National Conference of Egbe Omo Odua 2024 holding in Lagos.
Alogba, represented by the Admin Judge of the Lagos State Judiciary, Justice Olutoyin Ipaye, said the event became necessary to enable the bench and bar have a good interaction for the success of the conference.
The CJ noted that the establishment of Egbe Amofin, in line with keeping the customs and traditions of the society, has a significant role in promoting the Omoluabi culture that the Yoruba race is known for in Nigeria.
He urged the group to advocate mentorship among it’s members as a way of guiding the young lawyers who are keenly glued towards not only making wave in the profession but also contribute to legal practitioning in the country.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Conference, Kunle Adegoke, SAN, emphasised that the group is not created for ethnic disunity but rather created for the uniqueness of promoting the cultural value.
