Lagos BLue Rail: LAMATA Begins Announcement In Yoruba Language

Barely 24 hours that the Lagos House of Assembly summoned the the state Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA for refusing to make train announcement in Yoruba Language, the authority has started doing so.

At Marina Bus Station on Wednesday, Echonews correspondent observed that the officials of the Blue line Rail have started announcing to passengers in Yoruba Language.

The lawmakers had emphasised the use of the Yoruba Language in the conduct of the state commercial and political activities about four years ago.

At present, the assembly conducts its Thursday legislative session in Yoruba Language as it also mandates schools to observe Yoruba speaking period.
