ECOWAS Volunteers Programme 2026 Opens Applications, Offers Monthly Stipend
Applications are now open for the ECOWAS Volunteers Programme 2026, offering young Africans an opportunity to contribute to development initiatives across West Africa while gaining valuable professional experience.
The programme, organised by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), is designed to mobilise skilled and motivated individuals to support peacebuilding, development, humanitarian and community-based initiatives within the region.
Selected volunteers may be deployed to participating ECOWAS member states and work with host institutions on projects aligned with their professional skills and the programme’s development priorities.
Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to community service, regional integration and sustainable development. Depending on their assignment and location, volunteers may receive a monthly stipend of up to $412.50, alongside other support provided under the programme.
The initiative provides participants with an opportunity to build practical experience, expand their professional networks and contribute to addressing social and development challenges across West Africa.
Interested applicants are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility requirements, available opportunities and application guidelines before submitting their applications.
Eligible candidates should apply through the official ECOWAS recruitment channel and ensure that all required documents are submitted before the stated deadline.
Application: Applicants should visit the official ECOWAS website for the latest 2026 volunteer vacancies, eligibility criteria and application instructions.
