Jorginho fires shot at Lampard

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has thrown a shot at former Chelsea gaffer Frank Lampard by labelling the Englishman as a failure and wasn’t ready for a big club.

Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea manager on the 25th of January 2021 after spending over a year at the club . Lampard arrived at Chelsea from Derby County in 2019, led the team to a 4th placed finish in the Premier League in his first season in charge of the club and also led the team to the FA cup final in 2020 where they lost to an Arsenal side, inspired by Aubameyang.

Lampard was dismissed following series of unimpressive results and having won 2 games from 8 games in the Premier League.

Jorginho said Lampard came too soon to a big club and wasn’t ready for it.

“Look, I’ll be really sincere here on [Frank] Lampard. I believe, given he was a legend at the club, he skipped some steps necessary for learning before moving to a big club.

“I think he came too soon and wasn’t ready for a job at this level, to be honest.”
