Ikosi-Isheri Council Boss Restates Commitment To Youth Development

The Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Mrs. Samiat Abolanle Bada has reiterated the commitment of her administration towards youth development.

Bada made this known during the final soccer match between Ward D (Orile Ikosi) and Ward E (Orile Ketu) of the Mayoress Cup 2023 where Ward E emerged Winner.

The Council Boss advised the youths to discover their talents and pursue their careers passionately. “As a government, we will not stop in supporting our dear youths and organizing programs that will enhance peaceful coexistence and unity in our communities. This is just one of the lofty youth development packages we have in stock; watch out for other ones”, she said.

The soccer match was held at Expressway Primary School in Ikosi where soccer fans across the seven wards convened to see the final match of the maiden Mayoress Cup

Mrs. Bada while presenting cash gifts to the winner (Ward E), first runner-up (Ward D) and second runner-up (Mayoress FC) teams, appreciates the teams for their doggedness and fair play.

Echonews gathered that awards and medals were also presented in the following categories: Fair Play Award – Shangisha Magodo (Ward B), Best Defender – Alausa Qudus (Ward C), Best Goalkeeper – Rasaq Kehinde (Mayoress FC), Highest Goal Scorer – Dolapo Abdusalam (Ward E), Best Player of the Tournament – Dolapo Abdusalam (Ward E), Best Coach – Prince Richard.
