IGR: Obe urges residents to cooperate with revenue officers

Residents of Ejigbo LCDA have been urged to collaborate with revenue officers while on duty.

The council chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) revealed that for proper recognition and acceptability, a new customized uniform has been designed for revenue officers for for the credibility of each officer.

Obe informed that a feedback machinery has been made available to the public for them to relate with the council on any discrepancy they experience while relating with the revenue officers.

He noted that the feedback is a strategy to monitor the progress so as to the monetary value generated at the revenue department.

He appealed to the residents to  cooperate with the officers by paying their tax, rates and other related matters to enhance the development of the community.

He said the generated income is part of the financial aid the council uses in executing projects needed in the community.

The new revenue officers customized shirt is a combination of navy blue and Lagos State Government badge with the inscription of “REVENUE OFFICER” scribbled at the back.
