JUST IN: Passengers escape death as train derails in Oshodi

Deaths were averted on Tuesday as train derailed at Ladipo area of Oshodi in Lagos State.
The incident occurred exactly by the fence of the Bond FM, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FM station in Lagos.
A Bond FM correspondent, Taoreed Abdullahi who was at the scene of the incident reported that the train made an emergency stoppage after discovering that it almost derailed.
The train, coming from Iddo, Lagos State is heading to Agbado Ijoko area of Ogun State.
The passengers numbering almost one thousand felt disappointed and joined commercial bus to their various destinations.
Other passengers joined the team of train engineers to resolve the fault.
The fault was blamed on lack of good maintenance by Nigeria Railway Authority.
