Highway Crossing: We Arrested 219 Persons In March – LASG

The Lagos State Government, LASG, has stated that no fewer than 219 persons were arrested for highway crossing in different parts of the state in the month of March.

LASG statistically revealed this through Spokesperson for Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC, Lukman Ajayi.

Ajayi, on Tuesday told newsmen that the offenders were arrested at Oshodi, Dopemu, Ikeja, Ikorodu Road, Ketu and Ojota areas of the state.

He said that the government frowns at the lack of adherence to the laws put in place for the protection of lives. The spokesperson disclosed that the arrestees will face the wrath of the law and warned against any resident willing to indulge in the act

He urged the residents to always make use of pedestrian bridges provided by the government. He also advised parents and guardians to inculcate to their children and wards against highway crossing noting that that the agency would be committed to saving lives by enforcing laws in that regard.
