Following the perceived outbreak of cholera noticed in Oshodi-Isolo recently, the Health Education Officer, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Mrs. Grace Honfor, has sensitised the residents of Ejigbo LCDA on preventive measures against the diseases.

Speaking at a forum during the week, the health officer explained that cholera could be contacted from dirty environment, not properly cooked food, eating with unwashed hand, etc.

Equally speaking, the Health Educator, Ejigbo LCDA, Mr. Samuel Owoleke, informed that the measles vaccine which is always given to babies started last week and continues this week at the health centers for the children under the age of 15 months alone.

Owoleke, who highlighted symptoms of cholera to include dry mouths; dehydration, dry nose, inner weakness, etc, told the parents to report at the nearest health centers whenever they notice any of the symptoms.
