Give us more roads, clinics, residents urge Ariyoh
By Edith Igbokwe
The residents of Oshodi-Isolo Local government Area (LGA) have charged the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area chairman, Hon. Bolaji Muse Ariyoh to deliver more roads, health centers and other Infrastructures.
Making the requests during a maiden interactive session with the residents tagged “A Day with the Mayor”, the participants craved the indulgence of the council boss to concentrate more on provision of good roads, standard health centres, to fix dilapidated school buildings for quality education and to put into greater use the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the council.
Participants also suggested that companies should implement corporate social responsibility programmes and projects and that the blue print of the future economy of the local government should be discussed.
Responding, Ariyoh disclosed that Oshodi has 346 roads, stating that some of them have been repaired by the local government while others were in the plan.
He said all could not be done at once just like school buildings renovations.
He also stated that the constant rain hindered the continuation of road construction but would be attended to after it has stopped.
However, he applauded the meaningful ideas suggested by the community to steer the wheels of good governance in Oshodi.
He therefore charged the community to be agents of positive change and contribute towards the development of Oshodi at large.
