Friends, associates hold fidau for late Lateef Raji Monday

The secretariat of Oshodi-isolo local government area will wear a mournful look Monday as friends and associates of late commissioner at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, Lateef Raji converge to bid farewell.
Raji, who succumbed to illness after battling tooth and nail to stay alive for a long time died a August 13 two months to his 55th birthday.
He was buried according to Muslim rites in his home town of Idoani, Ondo state.
Raji, who once aspired to the governorship of the state however cut his political teeth in Lagos where he held influential offices such as the secretary of the Alliance for Democracy and Special Adviser to the Governor on Information & Strategy.
Encomiums trailed the departure of the political strategist from the rostrum as friends and colleagues recalled his intellectual engagements while alive.
