Council chairmen pledge support for new monarch

The chairmen of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Omolola Essien and Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Kayode Omiyale, have promised their support to the newly installed Oba Oloto of Otto and Lagos Mainland, Oba Bashir Odesanya.
Both chairmen visited the monarch’s palace to officially welcome him and pledged their availability whenever called upon by his office.
The chairmen praised the monarchs’ good qualities such as self-respect, patience, love, gentleness and others stood him out for the position.
According to Essien, many have testified to the good deeds of the newly crowned Obas saying such reflection of character is needed in a monarch.
Oba Odesanya charged both Chairmen to be dutiful in their office and as well pay attention to the needs of the community.
He, however, admonished residents to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ready and vote for All Progressives Congress, (APC) party candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
One of the foremost chiefs in the palace, chief Jubril Oloto spoke on behalf of the palace at the homage visit.
“We are happy that the two chairmen and their executives paid the palace a visit and we hope that this installation will foster cordial relationship henceforth.”
