Broda Mike Raises Alarm Over Alleged Threat Against DeeOne

Nigerian comedians Broda Mike and Mario Wazobia have called for the arrest of a social media personality identified as Veryblackman, an associate of Martins Vincent Otse, over alleged threats made against comedian DeeOne.

The controversy stems from a video shared online over the weekend in which Veryblackman allegedly threatened to physically attack DeeOne whenever they meet.

In the now-deleted clip, he was heard saying he had resolved that any encounter with DeeOne would end either in a physical altercation or his spending the night in police custody.

The video has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with several Nigerians expressing concern over the nature of the comments.

Reacting to the development, Mario Wazobia urged DeeOne not to dismiss the remarks, describing them as a serious threat to life.

“You publicly threatened his life. DeeOne should not take it lightly. Somebody who openly says he doesn’t mind going to prison should be treated with caution,” he said in a video posted online.

Broda Mike also advised DeeOne to seek legal protection, noting that the alleged threats had been repeatedly made in public.

According to him, threats of violence against public figures should not be ignored, especially when they are made openly and circulated widely.

DeeOne has been a vocal critic of VeryDarkMan and his supporters, popularly referred to online as the “Ratels.” However, neither DeeOne nor VeryDarkMan has publicly responded to the latest calls for legal action.
