This particular road holds significant importance as it strategically serves the first Immigration office in Lagos East, operational since December 1st, 2023. Notably, it is in close proximity to the Ogunlewe road, a project successfully completed by Rep. Benson in the fourth quarter of 2023.

During the road inspection, key figures such as the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini, Mr Muyiwa Odunubi, Passport Control Officer, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, and other community stakeholders were present.

Representative Benson, represented by Bldr Sesan Daini, highlighted the road’s construction as a catalyst for local development, anticipating increased usage by residents within and outside the LCDA.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the community, High Chief Adesola Oduntan, the Balogun of Igbogbo, thanked Rep. Benson for his dedication to road construction. Chief Adesola, representing the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, emphasized the positive decision to allocate land for the immigration office, fostering ongoing development in the region.

Engr. Lateef Oduntan, the secretary of the Igbogbo Development Association, praised Rep. Benson as a “silent achiever” for his transformative efforts in Igbogbo’s road infrastructure within a year, particularly acknowledging the fulfillment of the promised Ogunlewe road and the ongoing focus on the immigration road.

Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, Passport Control Officer, hailed Rep. Benson’s road construction as a significant stride, commending his consistent dedication to uplifting the standard of the Ikorodu federal constituency. She noted the witnessed development, especially following the completion of the Ogunlewe Road construction.

Bldr Sesan Daini, the chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, expressed confidence in Rep. Benson’s leadership, affirming that the progress in various road constructions underscores the wisdom of bringing him back to represent Ikorodu at the House of Representatives.

Daini hinted to Mr Muyiwa Odunubi that the Igbogbo Passport office road construction project is scheduled for completion within two to three months, ensuring the timely realization of yet another promise by the national legislator to his constituents.
