Barrister Akinwunmi issues stern warning to clubs participating in Lagos FA Cup

The chairman of Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi have issued a stern warning to the participating clubs in the Lagos FA Cup that acts of indiscipline and violence will not be condoned.

Barrister Akinwunmi who is also the 1st vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) advised the clubs to shun social vices, soccer hooliganism as he urged the club owners to educate their players and fans about the game because any club found wanting will be sanctioned effectively.

“We can only appeal to the participating teams to shun violence because any team found wanting would face disciplinary action. Club owners, managers, and coaches are advised to educate their fans and players before their game because if any team cause trouble at the match venue, they would be sanctioned accordingly,” he said.

The President of Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) who also doubles as the Vice Chairman of (LSFA) Otunba Tade Azeez also urged the clubs to play the game according to the rules and regulations as he appealed to the fans to shun violence because the era of causing violence is gone.
