The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan and the Chairman, Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello Obe were among the dignitaries who turned up to honour the Secretary to Local Government, Ejigbo, Hon. Omatseye Paul Fregene as his wife clocked 50.
During the occasion which was heal simultaneously with their 22nd wedding anniversary at OMDEK Event Center, Bucknor Estate, Ejigbo, on Friday, the officiating Pastor, Rev. M. A. C. Oladejo of The Lord’s Portion Restorers Church, OPIC, admonished the celebrator, Mrs. Oluyinka Fregene to be more tolerant and patient as she clocked golden jubilee.
Basing his sermon on the topic “The end shall be better” as he read from the book of Ecclesiastes 7:8-9, the clergyman said the end of a matter is better than the beginning thereof, charging the celebrator to look up to a better end.
He further charged Mr. Fregene to be patient with issues of life, to be meek and be extra humble as she has been humble and also to be pure in heart.
He rounded off by emphasising that if any challenge rises up to her in life, she should remember that tomorrow will be better, while equally admonishing all other participants to always end their challenges of life by seeking God’s help.
The Chairman Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello Obe, who spoke on behalf of the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan, wished the celebrator a big happy birthday, and prayed for all who were present at the occasion, where he jokingly appeared in speech as a pastor to the excitement of all as he committed the event into the hands of God.
Among several testimonies about the celebrator was that she is a prayerful woman who knows God genuinely and a good councillor to all around her.
Speaking on their journey so far and the reason for the celebration, Mr. Fregene noted that they started lowly but God has raised them in all facets of life, citing an instance that the room they started from as a couple could not match the standard of their bathroom now to show the extent at which God has taken them as a family.
“And that prompted the need for the celebration to appreciate God’s doings in our life,” he said.
In her own testimony, Mrs. Fregene, who appreciated God for His faithfulness and sustainability, declared that God’s grace has been the sustaining factor in her life and that of her family.
