Apapa-Iganmu LCDA: Akande restores power supply to Secretariat after decades of blackout

The Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Mrs. Funmilayo Akande, has changed the narrative of the area, as she restored power supply in the council secretariat after many years of blackout.

She has recently installed and energzsed new distribution transformer at CZ Anago complex in Apapa Iganmu Council secretariat to boost politico-economic activities in the building.

While commissioning the new substation, the chairman made a remark that since she was the vice chairman under the leadership of her former boss, Apapa Iganmu council secretariat has never experience power supply from PHCN.

“We have been running on generator for decades. So, this is a laudable project for me and the staff members, considering the number of years the council has been without electric from the power holding companies.

Records stated that Adunni Iyalaya as fondly called has made progress since she assumed office as the  Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA.

The commissioning was honoured by party chieftains in Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Councillors, SLG, Council Manager, Council Treasurer, Supervisory Councillors and Special Adviser’s, Lagos Central Woman leader and her wings, Youths and others.
