Angel Salt Reveals Benefits of Champs Cup

The convener of Champs Cup, Angel Salt has revealed the advantage of the age grade tournament for kids.

The Champs Cup will be debuting its first edition at the National Institute of Sport (NIS) pitch, national Stadium, Surulere on Sunday, October first.

Speaking to ECHONEWS exclusively, F8ballers founder, Salt said the tournament will run as a monthly venture to empower the kids which is the sixth football project initiated by him which includes, F8ballers Africa, WakaPass, Extra Mile, The Big Sunday Game and Goal Shelf.

He added that, the participating teams will be giving the opportunity to play good football, win accolades and make friends.

“The Champs Cup is a monthly football competition for U10 and U13 boys in grassroots football academy,” he said.

“It’s the sixth football project initiated by Angel Salt, in addition to F8ballers Africa, WakaPass, Extra Mile, The Big Sunday Game and Goal Shelf: all engaging young aspiring players’ professional dreams and character development.

“Participating players and teams will have the opportunity of playing really good football, win accolades and prizes, and make new friends while also been sensitized about major teenage concerns.

“Four teams (F8ballers Africa and three other invited teams) will participate in the competition on a monthly basis. Football fans should get ready to watch the very best of grassroots football at the Champs Cup.”

Angel is known for his artistic movement in using football as a tool to engage youths from social vices and give them a voice to find their worth in the society.
