Nigeria flew high to defeat underdogs, Angola 1-0 in the quarter final of the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny stadium, Abidjan.

Ademola Lookman 41st minute strike secured the last four place for the Super Eagles in the 2023 AFCON.

The Super Eagles started brightly in the game with their counter attack approach.

A moment of individual brilliance from Moses Simon sees him set up the on rushing Lookman to blast home the lead for Nigeria four minutes before the break.

Returning from the second half, the Angolans held forth by dominating proceedings and almost grabbed the equalizer as they hit the crossbar from close range.

Some minutes later, Osimhen saw his goal ruled out for offside in the pulsating encounter.

A superb save from Stanley Nwabali kept the Eagles standing on a needle thread in the encounter.

Nigeria sealed their spot in the final four of the 2023 AFCON with a lone goal victory against Angola.
