Police nab woman for hiring Naval Officers to assault lover

A lady, one Adewusi Folake, has been arrested for hiring some Nigerian Navy officers in carrying out an assault attack on a man, John Ojioma, who reportedly betrayed her in fulfilling his affair vows.
The incident which happened at Ojo Street, Abaranje, Ikotun, Lagos, where Ojioma resides was said to have occurred due to his failure to continue the amorous affair with Folake which was expected to marriage as initially agreed by the duo after years of being together .
It was gathered that Folake, having tried to persuade Ojioma to see reasons with her which proved futile invaded the residence of Ojioma with some military men, destroyed his properties, brought him out for the for the undisclosed military men to deal with.
Ojioma ended up beaten up severely with serious injury on his body. He was swiftly rushed to the hospital by neighbours in order to avoid other calamity.
The event was reported to the Police Division at Ikotun where Folake was apprehended and prosecuted while the matter was arraigned at the Magistrates Court in Ejigbo.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G. Simon, asked the court that since Folake had pleaded not guilty, the court should give a short date for trial for prosecutor to prove the charge against her with evidence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Kayode Layeni, granted Folake bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 7th November, 2018.
