The comedian emerged ahead of several prominent names on the continent, including fellow Nigerians Basketmouth, Bovi and Godfrey, Kenya’s Eric Omondi and Ty Ngachira, South Africa’s Trevor Noah, and Uganda’s Patrick “Salvado” Idringi.

The victory adds another international recognition to Real Warri Pikin’s career, which spans stand-up comedy, acting, digital content and live entertainment.

She has built a strong identity around her energetic performance style and use of Nigerian Pidgin, which has helped her connect with audiences both in Nigeria and beyond.

Real Warri Pikin was listed among the nominees for the Best Comedian category alongside some of the continent’s leading comedy acts.
