Ego Dies After Penis Enlargement Procedure, Coroner Reveals Cause

Popular Davido associate and British Nigerian businessman, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, has died following complications from a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure carried out in Thailand.
The 43 year old underwent the procedure at an unnamed clinic in March 2026 while on holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
According to evidence heard during an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into Ego’s penis during the procedure.
Afterwards, Ego and his wife stayed at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok, where he reportedly complained of chest pain and lost consciousness twice before being rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital.
His wife informed doctors about the filler injections, but Ego reportedly lost consciousness again before a recommended CT scan could be carried out.
Doctors later determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs.
Medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ego died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Ego died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.
Ego was known for showcasing his lavish lifestyle on Instagram and was closely associated with Nigerian music star Davido.
Following his death, Ego was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly valued at more than $745,000.
Speaking at the funeral, Davido described the death as difficult to accept, saying the events “don’t feel real” and describing the loss as “heavy.”
Another close associate, Cubana Chief Priest, also paid tribute to Ego in a social media post.
“Rest Easy Brother @ego2222. Even In Death, The Lifestyle Was Kept 700 For You.
“Today London Stood Still For You Tiny, We Love You, We Celebrate You and We Will Never Forget You Brother, We Lived Bro, Good Memories Na Water. RIP Big Tiny Please Watch Over Us #30BillionGeng,” he wrote.
