FC Brave International reignited their passion in the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) League with an emphatic 2-0 win against Ama Smile FC at Bishop Aggey pitch, Mushin.

Quam Akingbade and Collins Umeh were on the score sheet to power Brave to the top of the Mainland Conference.

Akingbade broke the deadlock of the encounter with a thumping header in the 20 minute.

Brave dominated proceedings in the first half and dictated the play while pegging their Ama Smile FC to their own half.

FC Brave possession counted in the 33rd minute as Umeh doubled the home side lead with a cool finish.

The resumption of the second half splitted possession to the advantage of both sides.

Ama Smile FC later became dominant in the game with their high pressing but the coordinated defense of FC Brave stood tall to stop the marauding run of the away side.

The win shot FC Brave to the top of the Mainland Conference with 25 points from 14 games excluding an outstanding match that if won, it will further strengthen Brave lead on the top of the table.

20 teams are in contention in the Lagos State League where the top two teams in both the Mainland and Atlantic Conference will qualify for the Super Four which will determine the eventual winner.

Arubinjaga FC is the defending champions, while CATS Ladies hold the crown in the women’s category.
