Community Searches for Missing Elderly Man Last Seen at Ikorodu Garage

The family of Mr Godfrey Chukwudile, an elderly and vulnerable man, has appealed to residents of Ikorodu and surrounding communities to help locate him after he was reported missing.
According to the family, Chukwudile left home for Ikorodu Garage, a place he reportedly visits when he needs to get things for himself.
He was last seen at Ikorodu Garage on the evening of August 10, 2026, and had remained missing for three days at the time of the family’s appeal.
His disappearance has raised concern among his relatives, particularly because of his age and vulnerability.
The family is now appealing to residents, transport workers, traders, security personnel, religious communities and anyone who may have been around Ikorodu Garage or surrounding areas to remain alert and share any information that could help establish his whereabouts.

The family is urging anyone who may have seen Chukwudile since he left home, or anyone with information about where he may be, to contact them immediately.

Members of the public can also report any relevant information to the nearest police station.
The family is particularly appealing to people in neighbourhoods around Ikorodu to check places where an elderly person may seek assistance, including bus stops, markets, streets, churches and other public areas.
At a time when every piece of information could make a difference, the family is asking residents not to ignore a possible sighting.
They also appealed to social media users to share the missing-person alert widely, hoping that someone outside the immediate community may recognise Chukwudile or provide information that could lead to his safe return.
