Cowrie RFC Crowned Champions Of 2026 Racing 10s Rugby Tournament

Cowrie Rugby Football Club claimed the men’s title at the 2026 Racing 10s Rugby Tournament after overcoming a competitive field of clubs at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
The annual event, organised by Racing Rugby Football Club, once again brought together some of Nigeria’s leading rugby talent. It provided a valuable platform for player development while promoting grassroots rugby and strengthening the domestic game.
Cowrie RFC finished top of the men’s standings, ahead of hosts Racing RFC in second place and Ibudo Academy in third.
In the women’s competition, Ibudo Academy delivered a dominant performance to lift the trophy. Golden Shark RFC finished as runners-up, with AJ Sharks RFC taking third place.
The junior category also featured strongly, with four academies competing: Racing Academy (U-13 and U-15), Golden Sharks Academy (U-15), Ibudo Academy (U-13 and U-15), and Wolverine Academy (U-13 and U-15). The inclusion of the junior event underscored the tournament’s focus on developing the next generation of rugby players.
Individual awards were presented at the end of the competition. Okore Chisom Victoria of Golden Shark RFC was named Women’s Most Valuable Player, while Oguntominiyi Temidayo Kingsley of Racing RFC received the Men’s Most Valuable Player honour.
